Amazing dinner we had tonight for valentines day, everything was delicious salads, seafood, & carved meats.
We had the steak cooked for us also & it was perfect!!! Deserts were a bonus with alot to choose from & to top it off a soft serve ice-cream machine!.
The staff were very customer service oriented & efficient & the restaurant was very clean and tidy! The hotel this restaurant is in is spectacular and would definitely recommend staying here whenever you are in Rotorua.
Food are OK, quite a lots of seafood in the entrees section. The raw salmons were fresh! Oysters were average. There was a chef in the main section, you can order steak there and he will cook it for you. Chicken was good, pork was too dry. Cheese section running out very fast and didn't refilled, glad I managed to grab a few blue cheese while everyone else still have their main.
After table service from Rawiri, a very polite man with good conversation and attention to detail, our dinner was off to a great start. I tried to as per a buffet get a taste of as many options as possible, and had a chat with one of the chefs Khan, thanking him for the wonderful selection put on offer. Overall great experience, nice atmosphere even through a busy evening rush. Great food and great service. I would recommend and will be back.

Friendly customer service, great selection of quality buffet food. Spacious. Good for families with children. We went during the Labour Weekend, it’s fully booked but we manage to a seat outside. Be sure to book before you come.

First time in ages of coming to buffet at Novotel. Very big on Seafood (scallops, oysters, prawns, crab legs, smoked eel and raw fish) and salad. Hot meat included pork belly, brisket and grilled fish.
Along with hot potatoes and pasta.
For dessert, lots of mini cakes, custard, fresh fruit and soft serve ice cream.
Suggest booking a table, as our table of 4 were lucky to score 1 of the 3 remaining tables left.
