This place is literally unbeatable! The best breakfast and coffee in Auckland by a million miles!! I could never eat anywhere else after going here!
Delicious food reasonably price. The owner Joe is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. We ordered fish and chips and bruschetta and by far this is the best fish and chips i have ever had. Friendly place, easy to locate. Highly recommend.

The pork belly did not tend to be too fatty and tend to be chewy with sweet potato mashes as sauce. Seasoning is perfect.
The lamb petit in the burger was juicy and the bread did not turn to gooey too.
Gift with two brownies in bite size topped with espresso syrup and mint. I would say this is absolutely a star. Very balanced and brought out the best of a brownie.
The cook has her food in right balance, very thoughtful. I will definitely come again.
Cute and tidy little premises at a very nice location in Takapuna. Joe was very engaged and interacted well with customers. It was a unique menu (with a few dishes a fusion of European and Indian cuisine) which worked well together: good flavours and appearance. Definitely worth a visit!
Friendly host, happy to help with wine choices and well matched with the food. The samosas were great tasting and light pastry
Ordered lamb burger and creamy mushroom. Lamb patty was flavoursome and chips were of high standard. Creamy mushroom came with two large eggs too which were cooked to perfection. Bread slices looked different to the white bread in other photos here but I preferred mine better as it’s more nutritious I guess.
The only downside was the soy flat white that I had. Coffee wasn’t smooth at all and had a sharp bitterness to it.
Overall a good experience. Will come back for food but not for coffee.

Fantastic food and service. Loved that the menu has a twist and isn't your stock standard breakfast. The Paratha was delicious, fresh and flavoursome. What I love most is that Joe's reflects their values, connection, kindness and sustainability.
The food and service were both excellent! Would highly recommend if you want a good meal😊
Wonderful atmosphere with staff that seemed to really care. Best coffee art I’ve seen for a while and fast service for the quality of food gotten. Really feels like a local cafe with regulars who come back for all the right reasons. Me and a friend were looking for breakfast while staying in the city and this was absolutely the right choice for us!

Everything ordered for our table was delicious. And we got to sit outside with all the sunshine!
What an amazing place. Not large but exquisite. The food is varied and delicious. The drinks menu is also eclectic. The host Joe, is so welcoming and hospitable. A must visit in Auckland.
What a fabulous Bistro just by the beach in Takapuna. Joe is the perfect host, pleasant, and very engaging. The food is fabulous. I loved my Paratha. My husband had Joe's jar which was great. We would definitely recommend it.

An amazing spot to grab a bite, relax and have a checky drink. Joe is friendly, personable and very clearly loves his establishment. Gave me a recommendation on how to eat the dish I ordered and OMG it was amazing. The coffee here is definitely the best in takapuna. Joe has an extensive liquor collection that he's very knowledgeable about. Had a beautiful citrus gin and lemon soda tonic and can't wait to go back and try more.
If you're in takapuna, you must give this place a try!
5 of us went here for early Mother's Day lunch. The booking was easy to make and they do suggest, as they are a small cafe to make your food and drink order as you make your booking. The menu is small but flexible. You can make up your own platter and pasta is made to order. The food was excellent! The service was beyond expectation. Well done Joe's Eatery, we'll be back!
Very calm atmosphere, very friendly staff, good foods, coffee, liquor. Joe listens to my taste and chooses the best drink. Thank you for every single time. Come to enjoy your coffee and food with solo or with friends or family or business. Recommend this place!
It’s lovely here! Incredible service. Delicious food. Possibly the nicest gin and tonic I’ve ever had (and I seem to have had quite a few over the last 10 years lol).
I had a really pleasant experience with my partner at Joe's Eatery.
The staff here are so nice and welcoming. I got the $18.00 chicken sandwich and my partner got the $18.00 Creamy Mushrooms. We also got a side of Polenta fries which was a bit pricey but well worth the price. The food was fantastic and was served to us in a short time.
They also serve Irish coffees here which is not easy to come by. I highly recommend getting this if you need a fresh kick to your day.
All and all, a really nice experience here and would definitely checking this place out for breakfast/brunch.
