I recently had lunch with a group of friends at Saffron Haveli in Wellington, New Zealand. While the restaurant's ambiance was pleasant and the service was adequate, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the overall dining experience.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the variety of Karies we sampled. However, the taste failed to leave a lasting impression. The flavors were decent, but they didn't quite reach the heights one might expect from a restaurant of this caliber.
On a positive note, the staff was attentive and courteous, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, providing a comfortable setting for our gathering.
In summary, Saffron Haveli offers a pleasant environment and satisfactory service. However, the food, particularly the Karies, left room for improvement.
I visited the restaurant on Monday when they usually have 1+1 curry deal. The quality and the taste of the food were good. However, the quantity was too low.
Food is good but a little on the expensive side, could be considered given the prime location. There is a decent sized car park right besides which makes it really convenient. The restaurant has a very interesting and cozy setup with lots of paintings, cratfs and artefacts to admire. Staff members are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Customer service is good.
