The owners are the best. Beyond kind (opening when closed etc) and friendly. The food delicious (Singapore style fried vermicelli hands down best in NZ).
Bonus: BYO.
Neat little place, a huge menu with lots of options. Awesome for groups and for sharing plates. Very reasonable prices considering size of meals. BYO is a bonus, service is fast, attentive and friendly! Recommend!
I took my partner here for dinner the other night, as he wanted Chinese food and this place had good reviews. We were not disappointed. The lady who served us was very lovely, friendly and attentive without looming over us. We started with the Stuffed Mushrooms and Spring Rolls (both vegetarian versions) and enjoyed them very much, especially the mushrooms. I also loved the sauce that the spring rolls were served with. For mains my partner chose the Tempura Seafood and I ordered the Black Bean Beef. I requested extra vegetables in my meal and that was happily obliged. We both enjoyed our meals and they came out pretty fast. Good food, good service, I'll definitely be back.
My friends and I love to dine at Long Xiang! Starting with the food, Long Xiang has a great menu to choose from. Their entrees are fantastic so I would definitely recommend you try them out; my favourite is the shrimp dumpling soup. For the mains my friends and I find it works best to share the dishes. My favourites are the Beef in Black Bean Sauce, the Bbq Pork, and they cook a mean fried rice too. They also include ample amounts of vegetables with the meats so the meals are well-balanced and pleasant to eat.
But what I think really makes Long Xiang a great restaurant is the service. The female manager is an absolutely delightful host who always makes us feel welcome. We truly appreciate her humour and hospitality and it pleases us to support this local business. Thank you Long Xiang!
This is also one of our favourite restaurants we have ever dined at and we always visit when in Wellington, the food is always fresh and perfectly cooked,prices are very reasonable, service is always with a smile and can't be faulted.We look forward to dining here again in the near future
Long Xiang is a favourite of ours. The food is affordable and value for money. We have tried quite a few different dishes and each and every one has been delicious. The staff are so lovely and we feel very welcome & comfortable dining with our infant son. Particularly recommend the ribs with long xiang sauce- so good!

I recently sourced some catering from Long Xiang Restuarant. I had to cater some authentic chinese food for 18 people. Long Xiang's food was great, and even better as we were up the road they delivered it personally, hot and on time. I would definitely eat there/use them again.
I had dinner here in the weekend and was very impressed. The authentic food was beautifully cooked and presented. It was topped off with attentive yet non-pushy service from our waitress. The chef even came out when we were eating our mains to make sure we were happy. I will definitely be going back there again!

Mum and pop restaurant. It's been here for 20 yrs plus.. Charles (chef) will cook you anything off the menu if you ask him or you have a food allergy. Cantonese dishes mainly - flexible to taste. First rate hospitality by wife Yvonne. Give it a go. It just might grow on you.
If you're looking for a great decor and ambience this isn't the place.
But if you're looking for great service and even better food, this is one of the best you'll find!
Run by a delightful Chinese couple, she front of house, and he in the kitchen, the food here is first class and reasonably priced.
So 5 stars for food and service, only let down by average, but very clean, decor and ambience.

You get lovely old fashioned service. They treat you like family. The food is excellent and very well priced. For 4 of us it was $125 and we were very full. The evening was ended with a complimentary piece of cake each.
Great takeaway, I had the chicken and veggies in oyster sauce, it was delicious.
