Wow! If you're in Welly, do yourself a favour and go there! Been there 2 years ago and was absolutely amazed by the food... same today! I'd come down from Auckland everytime again!

I have been meaning to go here again as I don't often have time to get down there from work but had the chicken quesadilla with beans, guacamole and pico de gallo. I have eaten many times over the past 15ish years from Andres and it has always been a pleasure great service and great Mexican food. A shame i didn't get a photo as it looked good too. The best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Found them at the island bay and Lantern festival and couldn’t get enough. The main chef is a whole vibe by himself. You can tell it’s made with love. Best ever! (Esp the chicken quesadilla)
Andreas is the real deal. A Mexican making genuine Mexican food at an affordable price, this wee hole in the wall is ideal for a short lunch break. Food is tasty and fresh made with pride. Hot Like A Mexican - yes please and thank you sir. I go here a few times month to get out of the office, eat a deliciois burrito while sitting looking out to Wellington harbor if the weather permits. Try it. Its fast, fresh and good value for the price.
I had a lovely Quesadilla with Chicken, handmade guacamole and Pico de gaio. i hope the writing is correct. My husband took me for our lunchbreak to Andres and Myrene and it was amazing food. Place is busy during 12/30 and 1/30 so better to be a little earlier and when the weather is good you have plenty of outside seating aroung. go check it out.
Amazing Food and Service, authentic Mexican spices. I went there ones for Lunch and it was so delicious that since then I am at least 2-3 times per Week at Myrene and Andres. Burritos, Quesadillas and Tacos. You can choose between beef, Chicken or Vegetarian. My favourite is a cheese Quesadillas with Hot! like a Mexican Salsa. But be careful. Hot is really hot:) Easy Lunch location and if you have stress or come with a group of colleagues it is always better to be early for opening hours. See you there, Oliver
Great food and excellent service. Big fan of the quesadilla from here. Little on the pricey side for a HITW place but not bad for Wellington
Have tried the quesadilla here and it wasnt bad.... but I felt that for the money and the wait I would probably try another outlet before returning. The staff are friendly and they are really popular so could have just been my choice on the day.
I have eaten at QBT at least ten times over the summer and sampled pretty much everything on the menu. Every time it has been absolutely delicious. The chicken quesadilla is particularly great. I dread when the winter weather comes in and I'll be unable to get my Mexican fix!
Only one thing to note - they aren't the most organised bunch so if there's a bit of a queue it can be a 10-15 minute wait and don't be surprised if people who ordered after you get their food sooner. Totally worth it though :)
Finally, real Mexican food in Wellington! This place is the best. Amazing burritos and tacos, served by people passionate about their food. I get it “hot like a Mexican” - not for those who can’t handle it caliente!
Easily the best burrito I've ever had the pleasure of eating in Wellington. Staff were extremely friendly and food came out fast. The meat was perfectly tender and bursting with flavour. The tortilla was fresh and the salsa packed the perfect amount of flavour and spice. Best place to come for a quick lunch! I l cant wait to try out the rest of the menu
I love Mexican food so I had been searching for a good burrito place in Wellington and this is it! So delicious with fresh ingredients and lots of vegan & vegetarian options. Reasonably priced for the size. Great location on the waterfront to grab a to-go lunch during the work week. And the people there are very friendly! ¡Muchas gracias!
Muay bien! A hole in the wall serving the best Mexican in Wellington (and maybe even NZ). Love the delicious soft corn tortillas and that the fillings are all cooked with coconut oil. Perfect takeaways to enjoy a sunny afternoon on the waterfront. Andres the chef who hails from Mexico is an absolute cracker.

Kiwi is like to kiwi taste very mild. Mexican is hot I would say 6 out of 10. Hot for a lunch.... Nice bite.
Will buy again when in Wellington.
Burrito tasted amazing, service was really authentic and friendly and the dockside view is a great bonus to quick and tasty lunch!

Originally I didn't like Mexican food at all but then I experienced this amazing cuisine and now it's basically my favourite food. The flavours are unbelievable. The hot sauce is second to none. If I could only eat at one place for the rest of my life it would be there.
The most authentic Mexican takeaway joint in all of New Zealand! Service, taste, size and quality are extraordinary! MUST come here if your ever in Wellington or a local and haven't tried it before! There's a reason why it's been around for more than 10 years!!
